AVERT GNSS stations are based on dual-frequency GPS/GNSS receivers with choke ring antennas. Stations are mounted on deep-drilled braced monuments to ensure stability in volcanic terrain. They are powered by solar arrays with batteries and transmit data in near real time for centralized processing.
